hello everyone,
can someone help me please. I relocated to a new house and I called s#y to come and install the satellite cable to my new address because I still have a contract with them and also have my blade 5000s box. they actually came and change my s#y hd box to Q BOX AND ITS WORKING BUT when the engineer left, I remove the Q BOX and put my blade 5000s box and it says no signal. if I put the s#y Q box, it works but my blade box is not working. I went to my former house because I haven't submitted the key to my landlord and plug my blade box and its working there perfectly.
please is there anything wrong that the engineer have done to my new house.
please help

They fitted a different type pf LNB, the new wideband one. This is why your Blade is not working. You will need a hybrid LNB if you want to use SkyQ and other receivers.

Yep you need hybrid lnb but how many cables do you have behind your skyq cus if you swap it to the other connector on the lnb then surely your skyq will stop working?

thanks very much for your help. i will consult a local installer to get it change. thanks

Is the blade box for another room? If so then it's just a case of adding hybrid lnb then add new cable to where you want the blade box

What is the reason sly put them newer LNB on?
Does it affect the slyQ box if it's replaced with the older ones?

You can insist on sky using a hybrid lnb and they will fit them if you say you have another type box you use,Seen it done a few times but you need to ask when signing up
