Hi All

Anyone recommend a decent free Satnav for an Iphone ?

Cheers

I dont have an ipohne but I believe these are good free ones. Navmii, Waze and google maps.

Goodbye HERE Maps. Say hello to HERE WeGo - HERE 360

I first used this when I had a windows Nokia phone and it was a derivative from the nokia pay satnav cant remember what it was called (poss 86nav). It changed name when it went to windows to Here Maps, about a year ago it was made available for android and ios.

the latest update and name change is Here WeGo

I have been using in one form or another for the last 6 years or so every day for work and its never put me in the wrong place....yet.

it has the usual maps all countries Europe/usa and everywhere else you can download on wifi at home and you can make it so it only uses offline maps. (google maps is online only and gobbles up your data if on a plan)

This restricts some of the options like active traffic sensing etc etc

Have only used the windows and android versions but i cant imagine the ios version is any less that these. i would recomend and for free its as good if not better that many dedicated satnav's.

on android you can get navigon and completely free, just download the apk from google and you"re good to go.

Yup, Navigon is pretty good, for whole Europe, in fact.
Have tried alongside Google and Waze, but as Google is pretty updated and Waze has the best obstruction warning bar none, I think Navigon is the best in alternate routes and map detail.
In Offline mode, it's absolutely best.

Waze for me, like how you can update the map route for other drivers to tell them when traffic or, obstructions in road, pot holes etc.

maps.me for me, because if you really want 'free' you want offline (no data charges) routing!
