has anybody here had any insight into these tabs, ive got one the spec indicates its more than powerful enough to play 720p mkv,but im yet to find a program that will play them,

lso when theres nothing on screen and its black,i can see what looks to be a checkerboard effect with little circle inbetween each one,is this what there like or have i got a duffer

also anyone who has one of these offer any insites on how to get it to run better?

what player are you using.

It's a Tegra2 right? if so try MX player & the MX player codec pack from the market.

i think i have tried every player on the market, some play the video fine, but no cound, some are just jittery not one will play one right

MX is about the best, make sure you install the extra codec pack for arm7 and in settings make sure software rendering is unticked.

Or try this optimised tegra version of rockplayer.

mx has trouble playing bog standard avis sometimes,i cant say im impressed with that at all,
pretty sure ive tried that rock one,but i will give it a go thanks,

gotta say out of all the ones ive tried vplayer and vital player have been the best ive had

i cant stand apple ,but im begining to wish id got an ipad and put xbmc on the fecker here

oh well,cheers for the input

I use vplayer on a arm9 (single core) tablet and it plays back 720 mkv no problem

i use moboplayer on my A500 and seems to play fine, ive only tried a mkv clip and that seemed to take an age to start, stutter abit then was fine.

My fone has better playback than this bloody tab, tried vplayer on my phone(galaxy s ) with a downloaded 720p Thor and it played perfect. Ffs, I'm quite pissed off with this tab really, you look at the spec and it should breeze HD
