I don't use Amos, but I'm receiving about 500 channels from 7 West including many Egyptian channels (CBC, Rotana) and Baraem (which can be a bit weak). I've a Triax TD-10, Inverto Black Ultra twin LNB and a £5 receiver I bought in Cairo! (PRIFIX 6600i). Not suffering from too much rain fade.
Given the published footprint for the antenna's, and the fact that the satellite coverage angle is so wide I expect I'm picking up a sidelobe from the antenna. But the sidelobes on a very wide angle antenna aren't generally too far below the main beam. The LNB, I've found makes a real difference in terms of quality (I haven't got a good signal meter to measure the difference) and I get an extra 10 on quality from the Ultra Black.
