Eutelsat 21B @ 21.5 east 10731 V 45000 2/3 DVB-S2/8PSK MPEG-4 -- 8PSK MBC HD package

A few experiments with receivers & Lnb's to get these signals
104 cm set up with MTI Blue line 0.3 Lnb (Swapped over Lnb as some transponders no signal with TM5302HD + Inverto Black Ultra 0.2 Lnb in Telecom band 12.5 to 12.75GHz part of the Ku Spectrum on 19.2 east,13 east ect,

Test-1
Eutelsat 21B @ 21.5 east 10731 V 45000 2/3 DVB-S2/8PSK MPEG-4 -- 8PSK MBC HD package
TM6900HD No Signal
Spiderbox HD9000 No Signal
TM5302HD no signal
AZBox P+HD no signal

Test-2
Eutelsat 21B @ 21.5 east 10731 V 45000 2/3 DVB-S2/8PSK MPEG-4 -- 8PSK MBC HD package
Changed Lnb back to 0.2 Inverto Black Ultra
TM6900HD 93% Signal, 53% Quality
AZBox HD P+ 74% signal, 43% Quality
Successfully pulling in weaker signals over the entire Ku band with this set up,
No signals on the other 2 stb's used in this test,

The TM5302HD performed well over the entire Ku band with the MTI Blue Ultra on most satellites,
The TM5302HD when combined with the Inverto Black Ultra some transponders gave no signals as there is a conflict between some Lnb & STB set up's effectivly blocking some signals on other satellites including 10731 V 45000 on 21.5 east.

Nice report Merlin, how does the MTI do on jsc HD 1-4 & HD 5 & 6 on 7.3w compared to the ultra and could you have anything local effecting it that the MTI is less effected by

Not as good infact no signal on HD5 & 6 with the MTI 0.3 weak signals on HD1-4 breaking up,

7.3 west--12476 V 27500 59% signal quality with the 0.2 Inverto Black Ultra + TM6902HD good steady signal with no breaking up,
----------12265 H 27500 60% signal Quality ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

Best Signal Quality achieved when the Inverto 0.2 Black Ultra is combined with the TM6900HD Combo Super+.

Conclusion some satellite tuners perform well with the Ultra even the TM5302HD gave good signals on the AJS Hd 1 to 6 but failed over the entire Ku band with some transponders not received with this combination.

thanks, unfortunately that's what I thought would happen, have you tried blocking some of the signal to the lnb while watching a tp that drops out on the ultra, it should come to life except I really don't know if it would do it on 21.5e unless it's bleed over from 19.2e in which case I doubt it would anyway. It should on 13e & 19.2e & 28.2e effected tps though.

Yes I did try that blocking the sides of the Lnb but with no success,
The strange thing about some of the blocked signals when using the TM5302HD with the Ultra Lnb channels like Sky news 19east 12604 H 22000 exhibit a very low signal of 40% quality compared with 80% on other transponders.

I am getting a lock on the mbc channels weak signal but locked I cant open them to view, 1.2 channel master south Yorkshire.

can anyone open any channels or are you just able to tune them in

Hi again all,

I don't think I'm ever going to get a signal lock on this transponder...

10.731 V [45000] 2/3 DVB-S2 [8PSK] 89.1 Mbps [Wide Beam]
MBC HD Package

My highest Signal Quality reading to date... but still no lock...!!

TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+
Signal Strength 97%
Signal Quality 51%

***No Signal Lock***

Hi cappuccino99,

what patch is that & do you reckon those in the red readings are spot on

I've always used 117p for fringe-reception because the patch enables you to see the true (fluctuating) Signal Quality readings which allow you to align your dish much more accurately to the satellite... and the DVB-S2 8PSK transponders display the most stable signals... therefore I always use them (if available) to maximize Signal Quality readings... but I've got no idea how accurate the RED (unlocked) readings are.

I hope this helps...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Hi zorch,

3dtv Can I know which LNB & dish size you used, to get this signal ?

its multistream now so you will need a TBS 6925 pc card before you start and dependant on where you live id say a 1.2m dish, regards mdt

Thanks mdt, I am really noob here :) do you mean that it wont show on normal (linux based) receivers (set topbox) ??
Thanks

Its not Multisteam the usual sites have it listed as such but it is not, I cant get a sniff here anymore on a 1.2m i think its more likely they have switched footprints

I supose that too, I am new to this sat, with a difficult situation (southern Norway + 1m dish), I can get many of sats' frequencies with 30-40% locked, but never (hopeless) with this particular package, usually I trust Lyngsat but I think this package has left or sending on a limited zone !
