Remove adhesive

Hi I had they sticky vinyl tiles on my kitchen floor that I wanted them removed before I lay new vinyl down so removed it all today (nightmare of a job) but the adhesive is still on the floor boards how would I remove that

Theres a spray you can get from screwfix but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. If you ask em they will know what you mean straight away.

You might need to get a stronger scraper too.

I think either way it's going to need a lot of elbow grease.

Another option depending on what you going to do is try some self level screed?

If I had a concrete floor that would be a good option but as it's floorboards I'd have to seal it first + this is rented council house I'll end up just lying the new flooring on top as is,

why not just put the vinyl right on top. thinners will make it go gloopy and you will be high as a kite :)

get high? lol

be careful that stuff burns thru plastics and paint. Personally I think it will be a lot of work and wont come off completely as it will go soft and be in the grain. Be much easier to just to put a thin sheet on top. Take sizes and get B&Q to cut them to size then nail it on. Job done.
