it can be done with a combination of getting at it from the top and by going thru the door opening.
Taking the back panel off may allow you to push the tub assembly back to give you some more room

from the photo you have a washer/dryer - you may have to remove the dryer section to get at door seal clip

Thought about this over night..

This is quite a difficult job on a washer/dryer (getting the new one back on!!)

Are you sure it is absolutely necessary to change it ? : what is wrong with the old one??

The door seal has a hole and its leaking in the garage.i thought this myself to albob but i have bought the new door seal from bay.
Starting to think i might have to buy a new one

Pop the top off the machine and unscrew the front facia round the seal the seal can be fitted from inside the door aperture and from top access. Fiddly job getting the seal ring round the drum but with a bit of perseverance more than manageable mate

Got the seal on eventually turn machine on.
Machine starts to fill then machine trips electric.
You couldnt make this up.

Any ideas ian or bob.

Earth fault somewhere mate could be the heating element but without testing its hard to say. If you could select a cold wash and if it doesn't trip then that would confirm the heating element.

Just keeps tripping ian as soon as i switch on.

Did you remove the door switch or anything else do a visual inspection on all your connections incase something is touching the chassis

The first thing in the cycle is the solenoid valve for the fill opening so if it trips just as it starts to fill then that's the first place to look

Did this job a few weeks ago, mind your fingers.
2 person job
