You can wrap up warm when it's cold, but I couldn't cope without hot water.
Spot on @nara
We are lucky we have family nr by so can have showers, but you dont like intruding daily so its strip washes in between

well engineers has been he says it can only be 2 parts 2nd heat exchanger and hot water sensor, he has ordered the sensor first (don't carry stock any more ) if its the 2nd heat exchanger is a strip down job, wonder why he ordered small sensor first :)

got to wait for them to ring now saying when they will fix it.

Update on mine;

Came this morning with all pats :)
Looked into the boiler and everything is soaking wet where it had been dismantled previously, water in all electrical parts so now need a new boiler FFS

he is sending his supervisor round to inspect but he doubts it will be installed today

Lets just say the supervisor is going to get it with both barrels today !!!!

Why is it when British Gas come out to do the annual service on your perfectly running boiler it is never the same afterwards?. They left my boiler with 2 gas leaks. His excuse was, he must have disturbed other pipework whilst servicing our boiler. Wtf??? :(

And he could easily have done, his mistake was not doing a pressure test when he was finished,plonker,should have his certification revoked

He looked a right gormless sod,wiz, Lucky for us he never returned after he rectified the fault. We had to phone the National grid up and they turned the gas off and condemned the boiler. The gasman probably got the sack. after that :(

Hope it wasn't @gasman :D

Mine is all done :)
11 hours it took them yesterday to put in a new combi boiler, had a condensing boiler but they upgraded me
removed hot water tank
removed old boiler and repositiond combi and flu new pipes etc

constant hot water and the radiators have never been so hot :)

Happy now and a long soak in the bath too
Heaven

Still think 12 days without hot water and heating during November is unacceptable so still putting in a complaint

@Rat

that is good new, they are coming out to mine today hope they sort it, wife is moaning as she cant have a hot bath (smelly bugger) but I'm not telling her :)
