Hi all

I have a gas engineer coming tomorrow to look at our main combe 30he that is wistleing but the last time he came to the house he told us that under current regulations our exhuast from the boiler was too close to an extractor fan from our then kitchen, Under 300mm, and if he worked on it he would have to shut the boiler off. We have now move kitchens into another room and we no longer use the extract fan it the old kitchen. I have taken old facia off the wall and put a blanking plate over the hole and sealed it. My question is does it now cover regualations. Photo attached.

yes
There is no longer an airway into the kitchen for the products of combustion, so no regs are breached.

I reckon a year and a bit later he is sorted ;)
