Has anyone setup VOIP using RPI?

Was thinking of trying to use a spare RPI B to setup some sort of VOIP system but have no idea what to use, seen something called Asterisk but looks a bit too much for what I want.

Something else I came across was Mumble which can be installed on Pi as server then use App for Client
