Oven thermostat replacement

apparently timer only operates main oven, if its on automatic it wont turn on

Definitely no timer set. The whole thing was off at the mains and then turned back on so no timer.

It could be your internal fuse that may have blown??. What it the correct rated element you fitted?. Cooker Thermal Fuse | eSpares

Yeah it was a 2500w like for like.

Got to be the fuse.. I will have to pull it out.

Right, update.. All working.
As mentioned about the timer, the issue was that I had not set the clock!! Once set, all working spot on.

Me too, £6 over the cost of a new oven!

Seems to heat up very quickly too, bonus all round.
Now to clean the oven until we replace it along with a new kitchen.... A few years away.

Couldn't have done it without you guys, the timer/clock was the sticking point and something I will not forget!

Just thought I would give an update to those interested, all going strong still.

I have a thermostat in the oven and it is running at about 10 degrees lower than the setting, but it always has!
I think I need to clean the thermostat wand to see if that helps, but so far and £6 later so good.
