Hello,

I know some of you have done your own kitchens in the past I am about to get on my own path to kitchen heaven but need some help.

in the pic on the right there is a space from worktop to the top of the oven unit, so I am unsure what to do, currently there is a 600mm wall unit there and then was going to make a box under neath but looks crap..

so any suggestions as to what I should / could do? the oven housing is 2070 high worktop at normal height what ever that is lol.

Also electrics, there are 4 sockets behind the oven housings but how many more should I add to the kitchen 2 doubles one either side of the hob? and one near the sink which is opposite the ovens? I do have space in the opposite corner for a pop up socket are they worth it?

Thanks for any help :D

A floor plan would help but you could put an appliance like a microwave in that space. Plenty of sockets is good, if there's one near the sink ensure the circuit is on an RCD.

Not sure I could be bothered with pop-up sockets but it's personal preference.

Great space to put a small tv for your wife while you watch the football in the other room. :)

Lol, thanks for the tips..

So changed again, we are getting it from a localish manufacture, that space will now be a full length cupboard and the micro will be hidden.

Also got a really good deal from them, all carcass will be pre built so just a case of slotting in.

Worktops I have managed to find solid oak worktops and breakfast bar for circa £370

Trying to find a kitchen fitter to help me now :D

So more puzzlement for me,

Most worktops are circa 600 - 620mm wide but when I look at oak they tend to be 640 wide. So now even more confused do I pull the units forward a little? only reason i'm asking is when the larder units come up to the base units I would then have to do a 30 - 40mm fillet?
