I need to find out were an upstairs gas pipe goes without ripping into tiled floors and wallpapered walls. Were can I get a inspection camera with LED ?, I will more than likely use it just the once so cheap is the word. I've seen loads of USB one's but I wouldn't know a good one from a bad one

might be cheaper hiring one or getting someone in to have a look

Ebay M8
I bought a usb one cost £10 for bore/engine inspection and surprised at how good the quality is and it has adjustable luminace at the usb end.

Ps id lend it you but the cost of the 2 way postage would probably amount to 2/3rds the cost !.

Thanks for the offer but for a tenner I'll grab one myself, you wouldn't happen to remember which one you bought ?.

I cant access Ebay from this PC due to the works system filtering, but dont think you wont go wrong with any M8 as usually the optics on all are pretty good.

The thing to watch out for is the width of the camera 10 mm is ok but there are smaller

Can you post or PM me the details of what you have ordered please mate.
Wouldn't mind something to inspect the chimney

What I'll do is , I will try mine and if it's any good post a link up. I wouldn't like them to be crap and we both end up wasting our money. Mine should be here tomorrow come Weds.

If its the same one i have you wont be disappointed M8, i attached a chord to the end of mine so when it enters the engine cylinder i slowly pull it which rotates the camera upwards to inspect the valve heads which takes all the guess work out of what damage as been done by a belt slip/breakage etc etc

Just a cable , not bendy flexible stay in place like say like a lamp shade if thats what you mean. I've ordered some cable pull rods as I need to run it under the floorboards to trace pipework.

Hi mate, yes thats exactly what I meant. Didn't think it would be for the price...oh well.

Thanks for letting me know though :)

Just been looking at the pull rods and they would do what I needed I think. Thats probably why you mentioned them I'm guessing lol.

They have them in Matalan for a fiver but there are no stores near me so maybe with you checking there silverdale if you have one close by.
