Hi, Back in 2009, I bought a Philips Senseo Quandrante Coffee Maker which worked perfectly until a few months ago when it stopped heating the water, the pump still worked, but the coffee was cold !!.
My local repair shop had a look at it, and told me the element had gone, and it needed a new boiler.
They finally returned it to me saying that they were unable to source the faulty item.
I have since purchased a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, but it is not a patch on my old Philips Senseo.
Can anyone advise where I may be able to purchase a replacement boiler for the Philips, as it appears to be a fairly simple operation to replace.
I have searched the Web, including the Philips support site without success ( Although they offer to repair it, but at a cost almost as much as a new one !)

I bought one of these Quandrante coffee makers the other day cheap maybe as well buying a new one if yr that keen. theyw ere £100 reduced to £40 use code TDX-CQKF to get another £5 off coffee machines or open an new account with tesco direct using another email address and look for a code for 1st orders such as £10 off £50 TDX-7DXM and top up order to £50 and buy something else you want?

Think that makes sense? LOL

Buy Philips Senseo HD7863/80 Coffee POD Red from our Coffee Machines range - Tesco.com

Hi Shaun, Yes I used to use the coffee ducks plus Selecting my own preferred ground coffee, I have a mate who goes over to France once a month, and brings me some great ground coffee at a very reasonable price.
Re buying a new replacement one - I think you are right, but made a great mistake going for the Bosch machine. I think the main thinking behind the design, was to force you into buying their VERY expensive pods. OK if you can afford to have just one cup of coffee - the size of which is controlled by the Bar code on top of the pod !. If you want a normal cup size you have to stand around with your finger on a button until it reaches the level you want !. Putting a used pod in to get a second (weaker) cup, and you get a leakage of hot water down the side of the cup. I complained about that, and was told that the pods are for one use only !

@miggy - Unfortunately No - My Model is 7860/60 dated Sept 2009 But many thanks for drawing it to my attention anyway

@shaun127. When the Philips Senseo worked I used to regularly use those Pods, Although not too strong they were OK for me.
Wish they would fit my stupid Tassimo device. Have tried cutting open a used Tassimo Pod, and putting a Senseo pod inside,
but you have to keep the Tassimo Pod barcode readable or the machine will not work !
