Hello there,

Here is some pic's of My current project.
I have no carpentry skill's and the only powertool I have ever used before this was a drill and a Screwdriver.

Hopefully when it's finished I'll be able to put My home brew in there with the odd tools etc.

It started because of an argument, Basically someone was saying that there shed was £700 ish. I said I bet I could make one for less than that. I mentioned using pallets and I was laughed at and told it could never be done.
Well I wanted to prove it can be done and I thought I shall share it with everyone who thought "Could I ?"

I will do Dude. :)

thats a good start m8, how are you going to do the roof?

I was thinking of a standard roofs. You know the pointy one's :)
I have some two by fours that may do the trick :)

Advice Noted Thankyou Miggy :)
On the good note I have some good neighbours. At first they didn't believe it could be done. Now they like the idea of a brewery Nextdoor to them lmao :)

So far it's cost Me around £10. Basically nails and the odd bracket :) from Wilkos.
The pallets were from Industrial estates. Most places were more than happy to get rid of them. But a bulk of them was with a help of a transit and a trip to Ascot drive in Derby.

One piece of advice though, Don't take any blue ones as they are owned by some company.

I looks like a normal sized shed so i wouldn't image there being any planning permission issues.

What are you going to skin it with, sheet ply or something like shiplap.

Also you planning on putting some windows in there ?

I'm going to try to make sure it's under 6 foot ish.
I was planning on lining it with polythene then wack some plywood onto it.
Or stick with the polythene and shiplap it (That is the layered effect I presume)
with more pallet strips.

Then I will have to treat it. (Probably a spoons meal of something :) )
What would You suggest?

you should be able to build upto 2.5m to the apex of the roof so 6ft would not be a problem. I would put ply on it first if you have any laying around and then shiplap it, that would make it pretty sturdy. You shouldn't need any polythene.

For roof, 2x4 will be fine. Then ply sheeting and then felt to finish it. There is a simple guide here,

Thankyou :proud: That guide will be a big help.
I was going to do the roof tomoz but I have the dentist :( I bloody hate dentist grrrrrrr

As an Update.

Started on the roof today. The shed got bent during transport so it's slightly out at the mo. But as long as the roof stays on I don't care :proud:

I've kinda cheated and put a pre-made pallet as the roof so at the mo it's a slanted flat roof. But I had constructed a pointy roof the other day but it got broken in a builders rage :( ( No cup of tea in the morning)

I'll be posting New picks soon.

Take care and I'll update again soon.
