I have bought an old 1996 caravan for touring.
It was fitted with a fanmaster electric /gas blown air heater.
It wasnt working and i purchased a complete unit for £150 from scrappies.
The fault with old on is circuitboard which is selling for £70.
Is there a way to fault find / fix this with components as would like to get secondary unit repaired as i intend winter caravaning also.
Its only small board as pic shows .
I got desolder stuff a plenty and am getting better with using it but grudge paying if i can change a couple of componets

Any pointers appreciated

i can see 3 transistors on the board these could be at fault

Look like mosfets as Davidh says could be 1 or more faulty.
Should be cheap to source.

Thanks Guys
Is it just a case of swapping transitors and testing or can you test transistors b4 removing?

can u do a better picture closer
may be others things that may need replacing
or if the board is in good condition why not replace them all?? cannot see it costing much

Without using an oscilloscope and preferably a diagram replacing the parts is probably the quickest.

I guess the white DIPs are opto-isolators.

Its probably one of the TO220 (TO220 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) devices whatever they are.

Is there anything on the other side of the board?

I am away just now guys .this was picture i took from net/new.
I will post pic of board once i return.
I like preparing my projects and buying stuff when offshore so its all waiting for my return

U need a scope tbh mate. Or just start swapping parts like for like.

Could give it a good clean/sonic bath.
