my leather settee is brown and for some reason its got little tiny white spots on the arms where your hands would go, we have tried leather wipes but they dont work wife tried some leather cream but thats taking the colour out the arms but not touching the white spots.

anyone got any ideas on what it is and how to remove it.

Yo Napster,

I've experienced something similar wee lil white spots we managed to remove them using nail polish remover - just use a lil bit on cloth or ear bud they will come off:Clap:

We use hot water and a dish cloth on our brown leather settee to clean it. And then feed it with a leather cream.

im in the same boat as u but the white stains i have is baby milk that at the time the ex used to just leave and not wipe and now its stained my settee. dont happen to have a baby do u.

wife's just told me its a none colour fast finish, what ever that means :(

It means be carefull what you use on it as it may remove the colour!

Hot water and elbow grease for you nap.

Probably shouldn't get acetone/nail polish remover on it then.

I would suggest washing your hands after playing with yourself and that should stop the stains in the first place.

Wilson blaming the babies milk is just wrong also. Them white splashes are from the milk honest!!! Guessing thats what u tell the mrs anyway.

Tip..if you got a wet n dry hoover when you clean the sofa with water hoover the water up, not rub it this only rubs the dirt back in.
used this way valeting cars with leather seats.

90 % of leather sofas are coated with a layer of pvc , so if you use anything other than leather wipes , baby wipe it will weaken the pvc coating and start to peel . I know as we bought a dfs sofa , 100% leather they said untill we tryed going through the insurance they sell you and the insurance man came and just sucked his teeth , and nore or less just laughed

Use warm water with washing up liquid & a soft cloth.
For ink removal use hairspray try this too will not harm leather

We're experiencing the same problem, white spots like emulsion paint on all arms of sofa, have tried the warm water to no avail, but dont really wanna try anything else as this is a second replacement sofa we've got which is also cracking badly, so i'm afraid DFS will be getting another phone call. Btw anyone know what really causes this to happen in the 1st place. Cheers guys
