Hi All

Must of tried them all over the years. From £1 shop plug in that catch fire to the once that squirt every 30 mins and sound like a snake.

What do you use or recommend.

????

i dont use any, i use essential oils, either with an oil burner, they are only a euro or two in the cheap shops, or mix up a spray (use any old spray bottle thoroughly rinsed, fill with water and mix in a few drops of your chosen oils), or just leave a few drops on cotton wool or a tissue and leave it on the radiator (in winter).

I find lemon, orange, pine, peppermint, teatree or eucalyptus very refreshing, and they are also antibacterial, anti viral and anti fungal, so help to get rid of germs.

Edit: What i also do is instead of buying bounce or whatever really expensive scented sheets for the tumble drier is put a few drops of essential oil on a clean face cloth and put it in with the clothes or towels to dry. It gives a lovely scent and you can choose whatever you want. My last lot of towels got lavender :)

You've got me doing that. :)

I got Aud to grab a few different bottles of essential oils and a new oil burner. I might jump onto eBay and see if I can get any bargains.

Thanks for the tumble drying tip, my next load of washing will be smelling of lavender.

Talking of oils....

Audrey bought a bottle of massage oil, I'm not sure what was in it but it made me itchy and the smell was very unappealing. I thought that stuff was supposed to relax you, not make you itchy and stink. :)

might have been rancid, carrier oils go off the same as cooking oil. or else it might have been a blend you have a sensitivity to. Massage oils should be in dark glass bottles, not clear glass or plastic, and kept out of direct sunlight.

If you are buying oils on Ebay make sure its from a reputable source. You want 100% pure unadulterated oils. Citrus oils will only last for around six months for massage purposes, but can be used in burners and diffusers after that, florals and herbal oils around 12 months.

Nothing that smells like arse or a fishy minge.

lol it totally depends on what its for. i like lemon, orange or mandarin, they're nice and light and cheerful. there's different oils for various different things.

so you'll have to give me a bit more info than that lol
