Just wondering what everyone uses when they need to upgrade there kitchen

I went to 3 different places, B&Q was one of them but the other 2 where kitchen designers and fitters. I got them all to design me a kitchen on their software, I just took the dimensions with doors, windows etc and they used their stuff to design the kitchen and printed it out for me. I now have 3 designs but I am not getting them to supply or fit the kitchen, I am getting a different builder to do it for me.

Its a free and easy way of getting it done, I did try lots of different software but I didnt get the hang of them.

btw....some dedicated kitchen places have design software on their websites, B&Q have one too.

oops sounds expensive lol

have a look here IKEA | Download planner

on that page is a kitchen planner, (19Mbytes) the units are standard sizes in ikea range so you can just use there software, it sort of makes it 3d so you can put in units and spin it around with colours to check it out.

it was easier to use than many other softwares when i had a play a few years ago.

I used the Ikea planner to design my kitchen, it's really very easy to use and I'd recommend it.

As long as your base units are going to be 600mm or 800mm units it should be sufficient to get the outline of your kitchen within your room size.

yeah I am using the b&q one online its pretty good to get the basics...

You can save your progress after making the room and just go back to the drawing board and start again with the room ready to go.

If ya wanna step it up a notch but witout goin cad mad, theres a piece of software out there called 'Better Homes and Gardens'. You can do basic or really detailed stuff and it will cater for your whole house - even all ur garden planning/landscaping
