Is any one on here ever bought a kitchen from howdens? I am going to be buying one soon and can get a loan of a Trade card. So I am wondering what % discount do you get with it.

Probably 30%.

There are better alternatives, is it for your own home?

I fit kitchens from howdens all the time there not that bad got a few better ranges out now....carcases are not the best but they do the job, stay away from b&q wickes ikea etc there all brutal.....you can get anything up to about 60-70% off depends on whos account your using....and if you have a price 9/10 they will beat it, fitted right they look as good as any.

cheers.

rod i got one for the last house i had ,but i cant remember discount
sister inlaw worked for them back then.good quality though

That's a great price for a kitchen.

I've decided to build my own from a mixture of pine and MDF, it'll probably be a lot of headache though.

Check out the new Ikea range, they have some great new designs for not a lot of money.

A worked there for a while Chris and with a trade card you should automatically get a good discount.
It depends on what range you go for mate and what appliances you are getting.
They will come to your home and a cad designer will plan it all out for you and give you a quote.

They only do rigid carcasses so bear in mind they might seem more expensive but they take less than half the time to fit and install so you will save in the long run.

For most ranges you should at least get a 30% discount, a good set of sorrento taps shouldnt be more than 30quid, sinks vary from 30 quid for a soverign sink, 50quid for a franke sink, and others vary.

When they quote you its for the whole kitchen and that includes worktops, kick plate, pelmet and all fittings.

They keep all parts in stock so if your missing bits they get them to you that day, none of this waiting 6months crap.

When you get your quote give me a shout and il go through it with you mate.

Cheers mate. Its my dads mates card.

So if i go to them with all the sizes will they give me a quote based on that ? or do they always come to your home and do a quote?

Rigid carcas will be fine as the whole kitchen is being ripped out to bare bones and all done.

Just ask them to come to your house and they do it free of charge.
Saves a lot of grief mate.
