Hax...you mean you want to connect to your m/c from a remote location?? Over the internet? Or just your local network? You need to allow remote connections to your machine aswell as making sure your firewall will allow access. Yes, you can do it with remote desktop, best if your wanting to do it over ta 'local' network. If you want to access over the internet, then remote desktop is not the easiest to use. You might like to look at LogMeIn or one of the many VNC clients..

Hope this helps :)

ok thanks, yes its over the internet i wish to connect

also how can i enable my server for clients to connect over the internet ?

On Win2k3 server, you'll need to enable remote desktop connections, then add the user accounts that allow remote connection. I would suggest that you have a user profile specifically for remote access with User or Power User permissions, be carefull allowing remote users admin rights. This is pretty much the same in Win2k server & WinNT. Remember you'll need to configure your firewall to allow access too.

Hope that helps :)
Have Fun

For Remote Desktop (RDP) you will need to open port 3389 to allow the RDP traffic through.

Thanks
