Hi all,

Just spend the last 24 hours downloading a 32GB set of files on usenet. PAR2 files included and repair successful - however, non of the files have extensions.

How does one extract these? I've never come across this before - everything I have tried has failed so far.

I tried renaming the smallest file xxxxxx.rar which then opens and I can see the correct files within the rar but then I just get errors saying use a previous batch to extract....

Unless someone has corrupted these files on purpose so it doesn't do anything...??

Any advice?

Use 7zip to extract them

I would think all of the files would need to have the file extension put on. There are a few extensions out there too .001 .zip ext it sounds like it's going to be pot luck. Is there an nfo file or read me with it that might shed some light on it?

Post the .nzb so we can have a look at the file details.
What speed are you on that took 24hrs to download 32gb?

7zip recognises them for me,did not download all the files so some maybe corrupt but the few I checked 7zip had no problem with

Same for me but when all the parts are downloaded it can't extract the MKV within. Even though PAR2 repair was successful....... Odd!!

It says something like unable to extract, use a previous batch or something....

Will post up a screenshot when I'm home later.
