Software dissapearing emails

I am using m/s outlook 2010 with 5 accounts
my main account the other day all my emails vanished out of my inbox
I searched for them for past year and found them all again
can anybody tell me how to get them back into inbox?

Highlight them all and then drag them into inbox.

Assume it's full Outlook (not Express?). Have you tried creating an Archive (or new .pst file) and copying them there first? Or, the pst file-fixer? I'll dig out a link.

Scanpst.exe should be on your computer already.

yes its full outlook
i do no much about the rest you said there

but i have just found a folder in my docs saying outlook files
and there is a load of stuff in there

Scanpst.exe scanned for that and its not there
