Hi,

I am in the process of redesigning my room & would like to cut down on the number of boxes I have got, would like to get rid of my NUC for XBMC & Miraclebox & combine the two in to a HTTPC with Openelec running & cable & sat tuner running mgcam, has anyone done this or got any links for how to set this up please? XBMC org has got some tuts but cannot post anything abot using cams.

This is setup I am thinking of:

Silverstone Milo ML05B Case - £30

Intel Pentium K G3258 CPU overclockable to 4.5-4.8ghz - £50 OR you can get cheaper one if moneys tight.... Intel Pentium G1820 2.7ghz £30

Corsair CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 Value Select 4GB Ram - £25

MSI H81I LGA1150 Mini-ITX Motherboard - £40

Silverstone SST-ST30SF Strider 300W SFX Power Supply - £35 (can get a cheaper one for £15)

TBS Twin tuner - Free £85 - (If you want cable and sat then this multi tuner does both - DVBSky T9580 Dual Tuner) £70

Kingston 120 GB SSD - £40 (system fully boots into XBMC in 5-7 seconds)

500GB Hard drive - Free

Openelec operating system - Free

Tvheadend PVR software - Free

Thanks

this is relatively easy to achieve if you havent already.

just install openelec to your htpc. then you need the unofficial openelec repo to install TVHeadend and OSCAM if you need it.

Configure it via the web interface. create a network and add the satellite/predefined muxes. scan the muxes to generate services. Pick a bouquet and then map the services to channels. And wait for the EPG to come in

In openelec enable Live TV. that will prompt you to install the TVH client. once it's enabled you'll see it downloading the EPG to your KODI and thats it. give or take 8+ hours of tweaking the channels
