Don't know anything about validation keys mate but why not get the full 2010 beta edition free from MS.

or, type in the code that came with the CD usually on the jewel case on the cover of the instructions. it should just work from there.

Thank you very much for all the replies m8's.
It is my doughters pc and she had bought this software as new. This cd is in a container which had 2 labels one outside and one inside. I was only looking at the outside one which had lots of numbers, but not the vd keys. Validation keys are only on inside label. I am now sorted. Thanks again for everyone who participated.
