Hi all just wondering if there is anyone who is clued up on excel as I have been tasked with putting some sort of database/spreadsheet together for production planning, basicly we make components for the automotive industry and want to put something together for a monthly target/planning.We currently do a weekly plan which is made up of our customer demand which is pretty much like the excel doc below and figures are update daily and chopped and chaged (current state), what I would like to try and do is have a spread sheet with all the line and part numbers, with average parts per shift made linked to each line, then you just select the line which part no you req and the quantity neede and it will do the production plan for me as in quantity needed per line per shift and so on, don,t no if this makes sense or if it can be done but hope someone out there may be able to help
