Just set up network following the guide.
Make sure both workgroups are the same.

i would have thought 100 meters is pushing it abit mate signal wise i mean , if he does bring ur network up when he goes to veiw all networks all he has to do is connect to it , if it is passworded up just give him the pass word

hi again,i should of explained more,i really need to no how to increase the signal i can connect when closer to main house.is there ways of boosting the signal so it will pick up further away

Hiya.. could could get another cheap wireless router, and then using WDS, you could assosiate the two routers/.

In laymens terms..

WDS (Wireless Distribution System) is a Wireless Access Point mode that enables wireless bridging in which WDS APs communicate only with each other only (without allowing for wireless clients or stations to access them), and/or wireless repeating in which APs communicate both with each other and with wireless stations (at the expense of half the throughput).

However, point to note is that if you get a different router to the one that you have, then WDS functionality is not guaranteed. Though, saying that I have a wireless router and a wireless access point, and I have managed to link the AP using WDS and it functions well. So its a bit of hit and miss.

Alternatively, you can get a high gain network adapter card that can pick up the signal, though this can be a bit costly.

Once you have this all set up, you shall notice that your wireless range has now increased.

There are a few issues about using such kind of setup, e.g. encryption (cannot use WPA/WPA2) etc.. however google on this will tell you them.

Important thing is that what you require can be done and low cost setup.
