could not seek on EXE file

hi ive got a problem trying to open a zip file , winzip and other zip programs keeps saying "could not seek on EXE file.
does any 1 know what this meaans and can any 1 help fix it pleeze

By chance r u using firefox with a advert blocker.
Try Briefly disabling the blocker and try to unzip.

Alternative u could try a copy of WinRAR?

could be a corrupt ZIP file - have you downloaded it again just to confirm or try the zip file on a different machine.

i still think it to do with firefox and add blocker.

I saw a similar problem on a m8's machine. Something like "could not seek on a Zip file"

Was it a http download i.e from a web page??

Try turning off firefox ad blocker and use IE to download.

just pm,d u sempi ,
though ive been having this prob. with a few files ive downloaded some are rar and some are zip , but niether of them will open

just downloaded it and it unziped ok john using winzip

just used laptop to download, running windows indego version and downloaded with both firefox and IE7 both ok

must be somethin to do with my programes/pc

Clear your temp files, and re-download.... That'll usually be enough for a corrupt download...

You may download the winrar system for open your zip files trough this site: http://winrar.com or just google it

What an message error that you receive?

Try installing Free Download Manager or some other similar accelerator and let that handle the downloads, might just be that files keep getting corrupted on their way to your box.
