I have an XBox 360 controller in use on my PC via the Crossfire interface. It works great and I'm glad I bought it but does anyone know if it can be used to control the cursor? It would be really handy if you could use it as a mouse.

Apparently so:

And with a bluetooth dongle and a freeware app called GlovePIE (google it) you can use a wii remote.

Where does it say it can be used for the cursor/mouse? All I can see is how it can be used for gaming. Yeah, I'm probably blind :p

Thanks, didn't think to look for generic software.

Im using pinnacle game profiler at the moment with the 360 contoller, make sure you use beta 4.0 for vistas and also check out there forums for the config files that people make for games, already done.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is cracking on the plasma now with the 360 pad :D

Beware though - the L and R buttons on the 360 pad (above the triggers) are axis, not buttons so older games won't be able to use them. Whenever you see a game labelled "Games for windows" it means that it natively supports the 360 controller.
