Mornin all,

I didn know where to post this thread, as there isn't a particular photography section that I could see anywhere?

Basically, my mate just got married & his photographer has hosted his wedding photo's on his website. Unfortunatly he has re-sized them and write protected them, so no-one can knick em. He now wants 250squid to put them onto a DVD on top of the album costs etc...

I have managed to lift the photo's out of the source code and cache but each and every image is watermarked with the photographers comapny name, can anyone reccommend any software tool that may be able to get rid of the watrmark and restore to the pics to there original state???

Thanks in advance for your time.

Cant be done m8.
The image you grabbed was possibly a jpeg or the likes. The original photo wld have been stored safe and the watermark layered on before saving to the format that you have. If the file you got was (i.e) a .psd, .png etc then yes, you could open them in the associated app and delete. But all you can do is use photoshop etc to clean up the pic, airbrush out the watermark etc, but if it is covering important detail on the pic (which watermarks often are) then you will lose that section from the pic.
Clone stamping etc may help but youll never get the pic to look just like the original.

All said, if the watermark is outside of the main image area you could crop the pic inside that line.

the man has to make a living , just get your m8 to pay ... poor bloke standing round all day doing his job ... if your m8 had no intension of paying then could of got his own camera

Thanks 4 the advise guys.

& ur very true Smirnoff, my mate has paid for the full works, which was an arm and a leg quite literally, this is just an extra the photographer is trying to charge extra for, so the poor(wealthy) bloke has been paid for his work just to make things clear lol

When my photographer asked how i wanted my wedding photos mounted in the album I asked for them all to be in square frames on the pages. This allowed me to scan them all at a very high resolution! I had to pay £600 for the originals but I also have them all on disc for free as well.
