Dear AOL Member,

I am writing to advise you that the credit card you have provided for billing purposes is due to expire this month. Please update this information upon receipt of your new credit card.

You can do this by visiting our online help area through AOL Keyword: Billing. You will be asked to complete an online form with your new payment information. To modify your payment information online, you must sign on with your master screen name (the first AOL screen name you created).

If you have already updated your credit card details, please ignore this mail and thank you!

If you require any further assistance, please feel free to visit our online support area at AOL Keyword: Help. This offers full information on all aspects of your AOL account, with answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions and links to other Help resources.

We greatly value your membership and thank you for keeping your account information current.

Yours sincerely,

AOL Member Services

Is this a proper email from Aol ?

If you log into your account via the normal channel, you can check if its true or not...dont follow anylinks in the email, in case it is a fake.

Suppose the first question to ask yourself,is the credit card your using about to expire? Also, it doesn't have any hyperlinks in it (unless you've removed them?), so it's unlikely to be a fake, & as Red says, log into your account & check :)

Have fun

it looks the real thing, if its asks u to go to an AOL Keyword without clicking a link, it' safe.
I used to work in their tech support many years ago when dial up was all the rage lol. I left just as broadband was starting, at the time it was £99 for a half meg connection heh-heh.
My advice? get a real ISP.
