anyone out there got a wiring diagram for a mk3 transit (petrol) if so could you please e-mail it to me as soon as possible as i have a few probs with the electrics

ta jondoe

yes they do but £15 is a bit steep for a wiring diagram dont you think

i get the manuals from a normal car spares shop and it only costs £10, but i suppose if you only want it for one wiring diagram its expensive. what`s the fault anyway?

the fault is dead simple ..the main power +12v cable to the ingition switch and alternator has burnt out due to unknown fault (as yet wont be able to get to route of problem till weekend as im working long hours)but i need a wiring diagram to show me where the other wires (that have come in contact with the faulty cable and may be damaged)go to and come from

with a fault like that, its best just to follow it back through the loom, as you`ve gotta replace it anyway.
i hate wiring faults , they r a pain in the arse!

just a temporary measure,if u ain`t already, u could run a new wire from the battery to the ignition switch, put something like a 20 amp fuse, close to the battery. go for atleast the same guage wire though due to the heat it produces. sorry if i`m teaching u to suck eggs.

well its fixed ..it was a faulty earth that has been causing the problems (it was all corroded then burnt out and dissintegrated not leaving much of a trace that it was ever there ..in turn overloading other systems causing the main power cable to fry) now to fit the I.C.E

only got a 600watt amp but a couple more wont go amiss ..any suggestions to upgrade my current setup would be good

blaupunkt head unit with 10 cd autochanger
magnat 600 watt amp driving my jensen bass tube and a pair of 200watt sony speakers
two other speakers still being driven by head unit
im also going to fit a pc for those hours of mp3's that ive downloaded

don`t ur auto changer play copied cd`s? a cheaper option than fitting a pc is to fit one of the new mp3 head units out. i can`t think who makes em at the moment, but i`ll find out if ur interested? However, a PC would b cool, coz u`d b able to use it as a graphic equalizer and control everything to get the perfect sound.

by the way jondoe, `dunno` installs ice for a living, so he should have some good info for u.

yea i would be interested in a new head unit as long as i can keep my autochanger..spose i will need a special adapter for this as well

hi m8, sorry i`ve been a while, been away.
kenwood r just releasing a new limited edition(only 5000 world wide) head unit, model kdc-z638 for around £500, which will play MP3- encoded CD`s!
www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk

unfortunately, i don`t think different makes of auto changers r interchangable with other makes, only compatable with other models.
i`m trying to find out if blaupunkt make anything like the kenwood head unit for u, so u`ll still be able to use ur old changer. it`ll probably be alot cheaper, i`m sure i`ve seen MP3 head units for around £350.

well head unit is in ,auto changer is in ,amp is bolted to the side panel ...where the fork do you put four speakers into a transit along with my bass tube ...
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

the smaller ones fit in the doors, the bigger ones (6x9`s) mount from the roof making a panel to fit in the gap between the front and the back, also making it more secure. put the sub behind/beneath the passenger seat. i`ve seen it fitted like this before and it works good. i`ll draw u a diagram if u can`t picture my wording.
