hi all,i'm thinking of buying a video sender from argos for £79.99 so i can watch and change channel upstairs the trouble is it needs scart connections at both ends,my ** downstairs has a scart connection but my portable hasnt so does anyone know where and if they sell a cable with rf one end for the portable that has a scart socket the other end saves me buying a video or a newer **.....THANKS...zooropa

has it got 3 RCA plugs on your **, red, white and yellow type plugs? u can get a cable for this type, scart into 3 leads, but i don`t know about into just one RF cable?

no,the portable upstairs only has 1 rf input and thats it unless i buy a second hand video with scart or buy a newer ** i think im buggered......zooropa.........thanks anyway m8

Just a little note telling of the time I used a video sender about 8 years ago.I tweaked it up a little so that my two mates could get satelite on their **'s.They only lived a few doors off me.Well all went well for about a month or so, then one cold winters afternoon after finishing work I came home and was shortly visited by a Seargent policeman who knocked a my front door.He had a piece of radio detection equipment with him.He then told me that they had been tracing the sauce of an unwanted radio signal and had traced it to my house. He asked if I could enlighten him to the cause of this signal and I told him I could'nt.He then asked me if he could come in at which I said he could. He then asked me to switch of the mains to see if the signal was still there.Of course it was'nt.He then left and gave me half an hour to trace the signal and to eliminate it,or he would return and that I would be prosecuted.I went into the loft straight away and disconnected my transmitter.Apparently from about 8 oclock in the evening and on through the night the police helicopter had been forced to listen to whatever it was that I was watching or the channel I had left the transmitter tuned to.Needless to say my mates were really miffed.Any how that was with the older type signal transmitters I don't know if you could do that with the new type.

Just for info m8, you didnt have to let him in, unless he had a warrant.

how unusual for a police seargent to turn up all on his own... and.. equipped with radio transmission detection equipment,(and without a warrant) and to say that his investigation has brought him to your address
and could you finish off his unusual job by getting rid of the offending equipment before he returns within a two pint margin and throws you before a judge. and then to add to the offences
wasting police time by transmitting radio frequencies to there airbourne patrol(most video senders of that time i know of just about made it to the next room) that were forced to hover within the vicinity of the major misdemeanor taking place and taking up major recources of the police force which the seargent should of been aware of. are you sure it wasnt just a wind up.

It was the 300 Foot mast on the chimney with red lights on that gave the game away

Thanks for your cynasim les I half expected it from someone. There is a saying that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and judging from your post it is prabably true.If you cannot say anything consructive it is best to say nothing at all. But for all you dis-beleivers It will make no difference to the way you think and that it will also make no difference to anything I might add,but all I have said is the truth.

thanks you lot but i wish i never asked now.....lmao.zooropa

We didn't mean anything by it Weaver...

If you say it is true, then it is

as spectre says, there was no bad intent m8,
if you want to see sarcasm, synasim etc
check out the Anfield Reply Section Empire,
Hoards Of Lies Everywhere.
oh ...and by the way zooropa m8, you cant run a quality line from a scart to an rf but there are senders that transmit from rf to rf and they are a lot cheaper than £80

i dont know of a site m8, but i will check with the outlets and trade counter.

I did hear of a street where all the kids tuned in to watch a mysterious broadcast of filthy Dutch porno telly every night. Huge fuss when their mams and dads found out, cops called in etc.
The rogue signal was traced by the rossers ... to a video sender at the home of a very embarrassed one-handed neighbour.
Not that any of you guys would be in any danger, of course. lol

of course not m8,i only want it in the bedroom so i can watch cartoons,news24,uk style that sort of thing LMAO ...... ......zooropa
