If you get one looking the same its a scam please be aware

anything that start "dear customer" is a red flag.
Paypal and banks know your name, they will use it.

I had this email a fortnight ago, same name. It caught my attention for all of 5 seconds. As theblueirish says' "anything that start "dear customer" is a red flag.
Paypal and banks know your name, they will use it."

Spelling and grammar mistakes are red flags also

Not many on here will spot those lol!! I've had dozens of these over the years, some even in really bad Portuguese. I gave up forwarding them to spoof@paypal, I would get a nonsensical reply (as is the norm for Paypal) saying something like they couldn't be sure it came from them???

if in any doubt phone them, they will always use your name nothing elce,if I get anything frome any I call a phone number one I know is safe,i remove from pc in case theres a bot.
never trust anything unless you have been told its coming .if I get anything from anywere I just remove it.

Just sign into your paypal account and check messages,95 % of those are fake emails looking to access your account

Just thought I would share this as it has some relation to PayPal.
My father who does not have a smart phone and only bought a wee cheap phone.
He bought the phone no longer than a week before he advertised his car.
He is not very tech minded so I took the photos of the car and uploaded them to well known car selling site based in Northern Ireland.
I paid the the advertising fee with my PayPal account but my fathers mobile was on the advert.
Within 2 days of the advert going live he got a text message from bogus PayPal link.
It said something around these lines....
"there has been fraudulent transactions in your PayPal account. Please login into PayPal with link below"

his phone is not a smart phone and could not open the link so I typed the link into my phone.
Virgin media blocked the link as it must of been reported.
So these crooks are searching all over the place to scam people.
Even online sites to sell cars.

now I know why the biggest selling car site in the U.K. hides your phone number.

tbh the best police is if you get anything with ' PLEASE SIGN IN HERE TO VIEW YOUR ACCOUNT' then dont open a new window and login that way
loads of people get caught out and click the link i never ever do
