I have been legit for years now!

I have a Fire TV, with prime account and netflix, and a basic sky sub.

This has pretty much all we need...

Will be interesting to see what happens as from over 19 years experience I have always found, as one door closes another opens ;)

Mick.

I want it all more than I can watch so I can flick for hours not making a decision on what to watch until I end up watching repeats [emoji1]

I'm gonna opt for the most popular here - I'm a technophobe and have no idea where to start!

I really fancy trying a motorized dish, but will more than likely end up with cable easier to setup

PS: can a motor be added to sky dish or will I have to change whole setup

A Sky dish on a satellite motor works very well, will get all the main sats you'd want 28e (obviously) & most channels off 39e 23.5e 19.2e 16e 13e 1w 30w plus about another 30 or 40 more satellites if it's done well & it does need doing well to get the most out of them but it blows away cable on number of channels & quality - films - sport/ footy & IPTV on quality - no pretend it's full HD IPTV- it is HD in proper bit rates. A zone 2 is better.

Tbf recently we have used freeview HD more and YouTube but only cus kids are little. We have basic sky sub but more or less stopped using it when I got usb cable tuner.

For me it's not a big deal but I know loads of people who are crying lol cus they have bought boxes from traders with 12 month subs.

Well it wasn't me  LOL

LOL...I did notice you've went a funny colour but was too polite to ask.

Never thought I'd see Ianb name in green either, good to see him come over from the dark side. ;)

Cable not an option for me as I live in the stix so I'm giving iptv a go for now, it's ok but not great imo
HD isn't HD it's just the same quality as SD with HD written under the channel name, but for all I watch it's ok for now

I love my Vu+ Duo2 and for me it's not worth the upgrade for the 4k as of now.
Almost all content is still SD and HD content is coming slowly.

Pointed another dish to 19e, sky germany all in hd, english audio options on loads of stuff, itv for uk channels.

Is there anyway you can have 3 lnbs pointing at 13,19 & 28 but using a multiswitch?

We all know who owns sky Germany.
Is that the same people that own.....
Sky italia (down on c/s)
Sky U.K. (Almost down on c/s)
Sky Germany (next)?

Yes you can do that, have got a monoblock lnb for 19e and 13e, you could put another lnb on a bracket to get 28e, and run the lot through a switch. I think you might need special switch to use a monoblock as it has switch built in.

Sky germany is slightly different, they had by law to allow people to use their own boxes with a standard slot in cam, of course it may all go dark, but may take a lot longer, who knows?
