Fed up with the rip off that is virgin media I was looking at switching to talktalk,
they have a pretty mixed bag of reviews,
but I cant find anything specific regarding their fibre optic service ,
anyone using this or have any opinion on it

ive been with Talktalk for roughly 2 years, i have there standard 17mbit adsl internet and to be honest its been pretty true to its word, i get a constant 15 - 17 mbit connection.
i downloaded battlefield 1 from orign last week..almost 60GB in 3 hours.
the upload speed isnt much to write home about though, sometimes i have to switch to 4G to upload pics to facebook etc...
when i switched to talktalk i read thousands of bad reviews about poor speeds and customer service...luckly i havnt had to call customer services yet.

but im quite happy with it.

Dont waste your time,Got money took out of my account and constant bogus phone calls after they got hacked back last year,When you phone up you get though to an indian call centre and cant understand a word they say,Plusnet all the way and call centres are uk based

One of the girls had it and has recently managed to get out of Her contract to go with Ee, She had loads of trouble with the wireless not connecting or losing connection and they weren't interested in solving the problem, I would steer clear.

Been with Talktalk many years now and upgraded to 35mb fibre in 2014. Thats the max speed I can get in my area. I have only lost Internet connection once since being on fibre due to someone ploughing there car into the openreach cabinet, but it was only off for about 24 hours. I am on a 18 month contract, I pay £32 a month for line rental, fibre and unlimited calls to UK landlines and mobiles. My download speeds is usually about 33mb-34mb on a speed test. I have tried but I cant find a cheaper deal.

That will be down to the shite router they supply.

Did you get your money back?

Through my bank i did in the end yes,Took £600 out,Anyone who has tried talking to talktalk indian reps will have had a hard time understanding them,Done my head in,Plusnet have the no 1 customer rating of all the providers

I totally agree avid, but they wouldn't sort the issue, and tried to blame it on her equipment. Not very good from a large company in My eyes, I'm glad they work for You but I would still be wary.

not had fibre with them but got full download speed which was 17mb upload crap though no issues for me

I almost went to plusnet but eventually just decided to go with talktalk , plus
the free sim card they offer is a bit of a bonus,
Hopefully it'll be trouble free,
thanks for all your opinions

been with talktalk for 10 years and on 37mb fibre, haven't had any problems so far and internet speed sits roughly as they say.
