"Doctors warned not to call pregnant women 'mum' to avoid offending transgender patients"

FFS lol

When is this PC nonsense going to go out of fashion??

The last time I checked, only a female could become pregnant. What's wrong with calling them mum as that refers to a female person who is pregnant!

It would appear that we now have a pregnant man lol. He was born a girl but has legally become a man.

Having your cake and eat it comes to mind. If they are now legally a man, why do they still have the capacity to have children. Bizarre!

Don't get me wrong. There were some things that needed addressing regarding PC. But i think it's all been taken care of. There must be people employed to just keep looking for ridiculous things to apply it too.
They need to be issued with their P45's ;)

To many labels now days.

I agree 100%. Having said that though, I feel there is something terribly wrong if you are discouraged from calling someone a man or a woman because they may take offence.

There must be people employed to just keep looking for ridiculous things to apply it too.

I think it's less to do with things being PC and more to do with money.

The word 'warned' here triggered my bullshit detector, as did the Daily Mail story that doctors had been 'banned' from using the word.

A little research shows that the whole shock/horror story comes from a BMA advisory leaflet which most sensible doctors will choose to ignore as it is merely advice nothing more.

Maybe journalists should consult a dictionary before getting their knickers in a twist.

Thank god I am too bloody old to care about PC other t5han the one on my desk :Mad2:

I'm getting so annoyed by all this PC stuff, can't people just calm down and not care for once
