From 1 February, Discovery Communications’ portfolio of channels are unlikely to be available in Sky TV packages.

In the UK and Ireland, this includes Animal Planet, Discovery HD, Discovery History, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Science, Discovery Shed, Discovery Turbo, DMAX, Eurosport1, Eurosport2, Investigation Discovery, Quest and TLC.

if that happens i will bin that lot asap as its only channels i watch

route cause the over hyped epl

Sky is seeking to reduce its bills for Discovery channels more than most because it has faced an 83pc increase in the cost of its Premier League rights this season following a record-breaking auction battle with BT.

well when this happens I will scrap the lot, I cant see this lasting long to many customers watch those channel and stuff football.

Surly there should be a reduction on the bill?
people pay extra for them channels and if there removed they can't expect to pay the same.

I have not received any Email or Letter from Sky informing me of this ?? are you sure as this is like 5 days notice of the change does not seem right.

They have started putting a message up on the Discovery channels saying that those channels could disappear. Comes up every now and then

Their fecking obsessed with pumping money into the epl, hopefully the start of their downfall, cant see the rest of the uk being happy to loose these channels just for english clubs to sign overrated mercenary's, I've given up watching it this year, I think it's the worse standard in all the years sky have had it, the more money they pump in the pishier it gets. :Angryfire

Its the only channels worth watching on sky :( Thank fook ive got cable coming soon to our area.

Where else can we pick discovery up (on cs)

Surely Sky are obliged to inform customers directly that these channels are being removed and when, not chance that they happen to notice an obscure web page on their site. This is a large chunk of channels not one.

Price going down then? I doubt it. They will create a SKY Nature channel of summat and put loads of re-runs of stuff that used to be on SKY 1 is my guess,.

Anyone using C/S then all the discovery channels and eurosport are available on Astra 19.2e---turn your dish slightly, retune box and get a euro sub, contrary to popular belief Sly and pals don't own the platforms on that sat. Also anyone using iptv then look for a supplier using a virgin media platform for streams

Just so I get this right, if you sign up to a sky package for 12months for say 20 channels and 3 months down the line they remove 14 of them without an Email to you or a written later giving you the option to cancel your agreement with no cancellation fee's and still charge you the same price per month, you have got to be kidding me.They HAVE to reduce the price per month, its a lesser package than you signed up for.
