so i bought a 8th gen new shape honda civic but halfrauds wanted 300 pound for a plastic fascia adapter to replace the stuck in double din radio so i decided against this and bought one second hand from gumtree allegedly unused- now the photo showed it had brackets to be used with it aswell as did all the other sellers selling similar "fascias", i paid 45 quid for this and a few wires the adapter which usually cost about a 10er i needed and the single din converter (also about a 10er) as ill be installing that too... my question is the brackets were missing and the seller assures me i wont need them.. is he mistaken and should i atempt a chargeback on paypal as they were in the picture and not supplied? will i actually need them to secure the single din stereo or will there be a cage already hes argued his case via text message that they sohuld of been there but if they arent then i deffinately dont need them anyway, iv never fitted a stereo and he said he didnt need it in his which is weird being "unused" how would he know, is he trying to con me? can i manage without it... i think there are universal cages adapters ect i could probberly get from halfords but they seem 30quid and upwards... any advice please
