Looking for a smallish freezer for me shed, it's unheated so must be a proper outdoor type. Not a chest freezer but table top or under counter type.anyone recommend one that they have used.

I cannot recommend a specific freezer but you are asking the right questions, we have our fridge freezer in the garage and have been caught out previously with ones not designed to work in really cold weather. I know the other half bought one after looking for ages and it works a treat. Make sure when buying it can work in really cold temps.

One of the last ones we had that did not do so well in low temps we took out to new zealand where is does not get so low temps and sold it whilst out there.

We have had a little Hotpoint chest freezer in our shed for 11 years now and it still works a treat.

That's a long way to go to sell a freezer lol :)

It's needs to be a table top with front door, chest freezer is not suitable, fridge freezer type but just want the freezer bit.

I have a Servis freezer, i think they call it an under counter style. It has 4 freezer compartments. It was given to me about 9 years ago and been sitting out in the garage for about 7. No issues.

What you will find though, is you will start to find the door and sides will start to rust on the outside, nothing much just little brown spots appear on it from being out there.

If you need it too look good you could always stick some vinyl on it.

My friend has always had fridge/freezers outside and they just buy a £50 one from gumtree. They have never had no issues and don't go for any make just whatever comes up.

If you go fridge freezer, try and get one with separate thermostats as the combined one doesn't work so well outside trying to get them both to the right setting.
