not a bloody clue?
Has anyone any experience in this martial art?

I'm asking because my little lad has just started and I'm not sure what to think?

Ive never heard of it, so ive done a bit of reading but that's not the same as a person's experience or views.

Cheers

We went to the UK tournament in Liverpool last week mate. It was OK but it looks a bit theatrical to me if I'm honest??

I was just looking for a bit of advise from someone that may have had some hands on training in the art.

I've tried google but I'm getting very mixed reviews.

Cheers

I had to Google it too @D1GG3R had never heard of it either. Not sure what age your youngster is but if he's under 10 say it's more about enjoyment, fitness & confidence IMHO. When my lad was that age he tried Tae Kwan Do for about 6 weeks, decided it wasn't for him & went to karate instead. He's just gained his junior black belt in Shoto Budo, only thing he's ever stuck at.
If yer lad enjoys it encourage him, no harm in trying it for a while.

He's 6 in April mate. Still only a nipper really I know lol, but he's really small for his age. He's asthmatic so his consultant is looking into the possibility of his medication affecting his height??

I've got to be honest, he really enjoys it. We're taking him upto Motherwell in may next year for the Scotland tournament.

Ok ill be really honest, we entered him into the liverpool tournament and he won silver & gold in his age category. Techniques and Formations. Needless to say we were over the moon

I suppose I'm just over thinking it really. I'm thinking about how this would stand up on the street??

Thats where your going wrong m8,

He is enjoying it and is apparently good at it so let him on with it,if nothing else he is learning far more then just a martial art :)

Tell him we all said congratulations on his recent success

Ahh well...

Finish work at 6pm..

Quick shower then off to North Wales. Spend the night in Wales then hitch up and off to Scotland first thing Friday, ready for tournament Saturday.

Can't wait for the week off!

And just to add, the wife also does Kuk Sool now so she's in the tournament also lol..
