Seems strange, does anyone here use these at their work? My mate used to work beside welders and was issued with them. I'm trying to track down the same kind. The front were mirrored and the legs were rubber tipped. Best pair of shades I ever had!my problem with glasses is that when they touch the side of my head it's excruciatingly painful. So I tend to use hats. These glasses were perfect! So anyone get them issued to them for working near welders? I'm looking for their model number. Also, they weren't branded Oakley. They only had Oakley on the lens. The legs were blank.

have a look at arco, most companies get there safety ware from there.

Have a read of this @stefblak it states that Oakley code number ANSI Z87.1-2010 is fit for safe welding environments. Oakley is an an American company so be prepared for a long drawn out thing. Have a read here : Are Oakley Sunglasses ANSI Approved? | Prescription Sunglasses. If any doubts try your local screwfix ect?. Good luck. There was a thread about these glasses a while ago but nothing really positive became of it. https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/classified-adverts-35/271938-wtd-fake-oakley-sunglasses.html

cheers guys. it was my favourite shades. lost them! i didnt care that i looked like a welders pal. i was happy that the lenses were decent and the legs didnt feel like a vice at the side of my really huge melon head!!!

FWIW I have a pair of 'safety sunglasses' by DeWalt. I was attracted to them as they are bifocal, they have small magnifiers in the lower part of the lens, and they also wrap-around the eyes quite well. They look a bit ridiculous on me, as I have a fairly slim head and these are quite wide- no chance of the legs digging in for me. Mine are years old- I've sat on them, dropped them countless times, whenever they get a bit scratched I just get the T-Cut onto them. They don't exactly break the bank either....
