Lily camera- con or legit?

Sometimes, when something sounds too good to be true, it is.
However, I hope all get their money back.
It would have been a great camera for on a drone if the image quality was as described.

Good news everyone - BEST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE!!!

I just got my January credit card statement and (as promised) within the 3 weeks of the announcement that they couldn't raise the funds to go into production they have refunded my card! I hadn't even got round to contacting the CC company for a refund under the CC Guarantee Scheme (which was going to be my next line of attack - it's quite taken the wind out of my sales!)

Best news is the original $ deposit has been refunded also in $ - but at todays rate! I have made £94.14 profit in 18 months on my £332.82($499) investment. That's about an 18% annual yield! Can't get the smile off my face!:hubbahubba:

So it turned out not to be a crowdfunded project. As advertised all preorder money was held in a separate account and has been refunded as promised! In my case the exchange rate benefited me to the tune of over £90!

Not surprisingly the press didn't quite get the reporting right (often the case!) Although it looked very like crowdfunding Lily was always slightly different in that they promised to keep all pre-order money ringfenced and funded the developement by investors (who may or may not have been crowdfunders, probably infamous hedge funds) who will have lost their investment.

I have already received my money back, no questions asked (and even made a profit on the exchange rate!) so I rest my case:Cheers:

Looks like they were an honest bunch even if they were a bit over optimistic with the technology!
