So we have booked this stunning place for this years holiday Self Catering cottage by Loch Awe Scotland - The Cottage at Inverinan Mor in Argyll. 40 acres of beautiful private grounds and shoreline - privately owned jetty: bring your own boat its in the middle of no where 15 miles down a single track road and a stones throw off the Loch awe.

My kind of heaven..

Any body been to Loch Awe before or some were near by, any thing worth looking at? we will be going into Oban of course and might even do the 3 Isles tour but any thing else?

Ta

From oban take a drive to malaig then a ferry over to Skye worth it for the views alone. Also your not too far from Glen Coe the scenery will blow you away mate

Have to confess, last time I was there I just chilled. Walked, laid in a boat dangling beers in the loch and just enjoyed the views. Go with the flow M8. ;)

Agreed. Glen Coe should be on everyone's bucket list. It's not only the scenery. You can almost sense the history.

if your goign to Oban, then take a drive over the Connel Bridge.
the stretch of water it spans is wild and looks stunning from the bridge , depending on the tide..

also follow the road round past oban to the isle of seil, you go over a crazy single lane hump back bridge then its great scenery again...

and the road to Malliag is amazing...
as is Glencoe.. stunning scenery :)

So got some ideas not, Oban deffo on my list, just been looking at the Cable Car ride up the Nevis Range so might do that and Glen Coe on the same day,

Not sure about Skye but might do the 3 isles trip depends on how much we have left :D at £60 a pop its a bit of money for 4 of us.
