best mate

Last Friday we got a call, my very best mate of 30 years just up an died, seems like he just fell asleep an didnt wake up. was all ready to watch the footie.he didnt make it
I am so incredibly sad
my heart is breaking
my tears are flowing,
he was a great friend, my best mate we shared so much together , been to see his wife and kids to try an support them.
Martin was such a good bloke, proper chap.
gonna be a week or two to post again but wanted his name om the net forever.

When you lose a close friend like that it is like losing one of the family, it is good to see you are there for his family and being able to grieve with together will help both you and them come through this terrible time, because many people back away afraid they will not know what to says but just being there for someone helps ease the pain and frustration of an unexpected loss.
Something to remember and to make a point of to his family is the pride you have in having had such a great and close friend that meant so much to you and no doubt to his family.

Sorry to hear your sad news Gez mate... I know exactly how you feel

My very good friend passed away suddenly on the 4th September 2011, the day before my birthday. He was going to be my best man at my wedding the following year.

I knew him from the age of 4. He was only 37 when he passed away leaving a wife and three young children.... He went out for a few pints with some of the lads, went home and fell asleep...... like your friend mate, he just never woke up....

Its three years this year mate... I still get upset from time to time... but time does heal....
