TiVo has its own internet but all you need is the line and connect to vermin, but you can look at somthings on the net but not as much as you think.I have it I think its over rated.
YOU TUBE is good I like this on big screen but all you need is laptop and wire and does the same.
I have 2 boxes 1 v+ and 1 TiVo ,well the ones that work anyway lmao.

VM will sort out all the connections. The internet runs through the same connection that supplies TV signal. You can plug the TiVO box to a superhub via ethernet for extra functions.

this I never tried I will try this I have net on TiVo but can only get the things what it shows, well not youtube.

just tried only dose the same ,TiVo has inbuilt net, unless there are some place ive missed ,I still don't like TiVo I have used 87% and want to reset,i hope they add another new box soon, lol

The Ethernet feed on the back of the box can this be used to connect other devices for internet connection ?

In a single word, no. The connection is required for TV Anywhere service I believe.

Longer answer, it could but then VM couldn't sell you a Internet connection.
