Ok the Mrs is after a coffee machine but wondering which one is the best?? She wanted it for Christmas but thought I'd wait for the sales. :) believe me she never went without anyway.

Ideally I'd like it to be white but apart from that I have NO idea about em.

Thinking £100 or less

Help and ideas please. :).

No real decent machines for that money unless you want pod machine.
I have esam 4200 but is circa £300 but is the biz.

I have tried all sorts of machines and the cheap ones are what they are.
Depends if you want fresh ground beans or not.
Pods are very expensive unless you mess about and make your own.

If you grind your own beans you can make a cup for approx 5 or 6p/

got the tassimo t40 really happy with it,always deals for cheap pods so cant grumble

Cheers mate.

Yeah think she wants the pods as she can then pick what one she wants. I don't think she will have anymore than 1 a day but cuz I've just don't the kitchen think she wants a new gadget. :)

I'm getting old now and lazy so I ain't grinding me own. Quick and simple like me. :)

Esam 4200 does it all for you.
Turn on-cleans itself-press button auto grinds beans and makes coffee-press button for milk frother and froth coffee- when turns of it cleans itself.
You just have to be there to drink it.

im also looking for a bean to cup machine the one mentioned by moamb is out of stock but i see this is in stock

To be honest if your going to be spending £300 plus on any coffee machine i would advise starting with a Gaggia classic you can pick them up reasonable priced even 2nd hand, then you would also need a grinder about £100 plus.

You goto work out what kind of drinks you will be making with it milky drinks? espresso.

My personal opinion of bean to cup are rubbish you have no real adjustment with them.were as a machine like the classic you will learn how to pour a real decent shot over time.

All depepnds on how much you want a machine really.

well im after one for espresso's for me and latte's for missus

forget all the milk frothers etc....just more bits to clean !!!
an espresso machine of your choice, and then microwave 3/4 of a cup of milk, add espresso to the
hot milk .....voila

you have latte and the wife is happy therefore you is happy
yours TL.

I had the gaggia before the esam and thought it was over rated.
As for adjusting the grind on the esam it has multiple settings.

Just been to John Lewis and they are doing the Esam 04320s for £349.99. Looking around cheapest I can see is £440 on Amazon but some selling it for over £500. Is this the next one up to the one u got @manic01?

your all flipping bonkers
for 1% of what you are saying you can get a jar of coffee milk and a bag of sugar then take the misses on a short break to London or summit
