i buy samsung LCD tellys from ebay, especially if theyre 'sound but no picture' , 'goes off after 20 mins' or 'clicks on and off' as theyre mostly down the the capacitors in the power supply, even if they look fine, you can replace them ALL for less than a fiver

my local cash convertors has quite a few samsung tellys for sale thanks to things like this, lol

Thanks for replies
don’t know what happened weird !!!!!! Like I said the capacitors look ok no bulging so a lot of head scratching and looking on u tube seems loads of people with the same problem clicking on and off !!! I took out main board out and went to a Samsung dealer to see if they could test the board, he said I would have to bring the tv in to test it !!!! But he said when you put the board back in leave the top lead un plugged and turn on the tv if it still clicks on and off I will be the board, if not its some where else.
Did that and still went on and off, plugged the lead back in nearly
Shet me self as it was still turned on bit of a flash and lo and behold the tv come back on working fine ?????????
Turned on this morning and started to click again but come on ??
So I think the problem is still there, any advise ???

anyone please started clicking on and off again comeing on after about three mins so only a question of time

they look fine but its hard to tell, the capacitors dont always bulge out sometimes they are just slightly raised. the only other thing would be to replace them 1 by 1 or get a new powerboard.

yes m8, make sure u get caps with the same value. it is writen down the side of them also make sure u stick the new one in the same as the old one. make a note of which side the stripe is on.

Decided to go for a new mains board ??? digidude where do you get yours from m8 have searched and searched on the net for this board
PSPF411701A SAMSUNG 42"

would you say its the main board by the problem i am having ??? dont want to get one and its some thing else
cheers
