Gay marriage is an oxymoron...

Well if you mean gay as in happy etc then you may have a point ;)

If we assume that the word 'gay' has been hijacked, or 'broadened', in it's meaning then we are talking about same-sex marriage.

If you are religious, does the bible concede gay marriage is allowable?

If you are not religious does the word 'marriage' apply?

Firstly what has religion got to do with marriage. I do think it's hypocritical of couple to get married in church if they are not religious, just because it's traditional. Plus if you do get married in a church you still need to have the marriage registered, just like any other ceremony.

Secondly what has marriage got to do with a persons sex or sexual orientation. Marriage is a bond between 2 humans that love each other. Just because some 1612 year old book (the bible was written 400 years after Jesus was killed) says it's wrong doesn't make it so, neither does what you or I think. Love is a sexless, ageless, raceless feeling that anyone can have in varying forms and for anyone.
