At the moment the Kobo is £69.99 & the Kindle £89.99
I dont mind paying the extra if need be...But i cant see much difference in the two.
Has any one got a kobo and do they fell/work ok

thanks nyck

Don't have a kobo but I highly recommend the kindle. But I would go for the older one with the keyboard

We have a Kindle, but looking at the Kobo, it does appear on paper to look better.

Looking at that link the kindle actually looks better where it counts, better battery and better built in memory, also the bit where it says the kindle doesn't accept books from other bookstores is only applicable to legit books (and we all know it doesn't apply to us). The kobo does have more font sizes and styles but does that really matter.

The new kindle 4 has half the battery and half the capacity of the older kindle 3.

I know some readers have a memory slot for expanding the storage, but honestly who needs more than 3000 books on their device at any one time.

Last month I got the Kindle 3 (kindle keyboard) from the amazon warehouse deals for £79, marked as a referb but was brand new with full warranty.

Also got this great aluminium case for the kindle which doubles as a atand for use on a desk, and cheap at £12.58 inc delivery, took 7 days from china.

I dont know what it is but when the books are free and theres 1000s of them on tap i tend to start a few pages and not bother. But when its bought and on proper paper, a proper book, i tend to read it all the way through and actually enjoy it.

PS older kindle looks better.

I suppose you could say the same thing about public libraries, I mean there are 1000's of paper books on tap for free.

It doesn't bother me if the book is good enough to grab my attention then I read it.
